Midland’s BT2 is a wireless multimedia system for bikers, designed to be fitted directly on to your helmet, and for use with Bluetooth devices like mobile phones, GPS Sat-Navs, and MP3 players. If desired, it can also be paired with another Midland BT2 unit and used as wireless Rider/Passenger Intercom system or Rider to Rider in bike-to-bike mode, within a maximum range of 220 yards. The Midland BT2 is also supplied with a wired connection that can be used to connect an iPod/MP3 player or GMRS transceiver, which will then enable bike-to-bike communications up to a maximum range of three miles.

Complete Wireless Multimedia System

The BT2 offers a complete system for a solo rider, letting you connect wirelessly to other Bluetooth-enabled devices such as cell phones, GPS, MP3 players, and even GRMS radios for enjoyment/use within your helmet.

For devices supporting the AVRCP protocol, you can also use the buttons on the BT2 unit to control the following play options: play/pause, fast-forward, and rewind.

Connect Multiple Devices

The BT2 allows you to connect up to three separate Bluetooth devices, say a cell phone, GPS unit, and MP3 player–or another BT2 unit.

Automatically Adjust Listening Volume

Biking involves a bit more noise than your average car cabin. With that in mind, the BT2 is fitted with AGC function that automatically controls the volume in relation to background noise. You can manually adjust the maximum volume in very noisy environments (for example when travelling at high speeds), to allow the AGC automatic system to change the volume and use the manually set volume as maximum setting.

Wired Input

Not every device has Bluetooth. The BT2 is also fitted with a wired audio input for connecting most stereo audio sources, such as an iPod or other MP3 player, etc. The wired audio input receives the lowest priority, and will be disabled when other Bluetooth communication is opened.

Long Battery Life

The BT2 features a rechargeable Lithium battery, which provides up to eight hours talk time on a single charge (up to 2 days in standby mode). Recharging the battery takes about four hours.

Ready for the Elements

The BT2 is fully waterproof and weather resistant for use in rain or snow.

Two Microphones Included

Boom and wire mics are both included, to suit both open faced and flip-front helmets. Both mics are wind-resistant and feature noise-canceling, to make your communication more clear.
